COMING SOON: For the second consecutive year, rather than running on Easter weekend, Schaeffer Classic #28 will be held in the summer, on or around July 19, 2025!
The event will take place at
Rohr Park in Chula Vista. Once we have settled on the weekend, we will send out a Save the Date.

The Schaeffer Classic lost a former Silver Fox Division Champion and devoted volunteer, and I lost the World's Best Uncle. Robert Keith Crowley passed away on November 15, 2019 at the age of 75. Rest in peace, Uncle Bob.

The proceeds from the Schaeffer Classic have been donated every year in honor of Larry McKinney. Sadly, now the donation will be made "In Memory of Larry McKinney".
After living with Multiple Sclerosis for more than 3 decades, Larry succumbed to cancer on April 15, 2020. He was a terrific grandpa to my kids, a loving husband to my mom, and one of the most important people in my life.
Thank you all so much for continuing to support his cause, the end to Multiple Sclerosis.
