You have been an important part of out lives for so that I barely remember life before you.  One thing that was obvious to me, and that I will forever feel indebted to you for, is you absolutely made my mom happy.  It seemed that from the time you two met her whole world changed for the better.  The love you two share is a powerful and in-your-face type of love.

You have always been there for us, and you taught us some important life lessons.  Your work ethic, generosity, courage and incredible sense of humor have rubbed off on all of us.  All six of your kids possess all of those traits due, at least in part, to your influence on us.  You have always had a profound impact on people.  I consider myself so blessed to have had you all these years as a role model and a strong example of what really matters in life.

While we all will miss you terribly, you are part of us all.  So many memories, but I will always remember that through all of the stuff that was thrown at you for so many years, I never heard you complain.  If you could do that, little challenges that we all face in life shouldn't cause complaint.  You have been a true champion in life.

Please don't worry too much about Mom.  She is strong, determined, and independent.  You have done a great job.  We will take it from here.
